The chess record is fully recognized by the Guiness central
Chess club Levski has received GM Kiril Georgiev’s certificate from Guiness Ltd., acknowledging the chess record achieved in Sofia. This way, what has been know on theory is already a fact and GM Georgiev is an official part of the Guiness book history.
The record data: 360 games played, 280 victories, 74 draws, and 6 loses (88%).
The certificate that you see on the left will be rewarded to GM Georgiev at an official ceremony in the National Press club. The certificate is accompanied by a letter that starts with, “Welcome to the very select club of Guinness World Records holders!”
GM Kiril Georgiev has been very active after the world record. He just recently won the Italian team championship and will be participating in many more events in the coming months.
